Payment Options

Every Black Seal Yeti is sold direct — you deal with us, your bike is built by us or your local Authorised Yeti Service Centre, and you choose how to pay. Here are your options.

Paying for your bike

Once we've confirmed your build over a quick chat, we send you a draft invoice through the website with a secure payment link. For a normal order we prefer one clean full payment before your bike is built and delivered. Freight is free, NZ wide.

Bank transfer

Our preferred option — no fees, fast to confirm. Account details come with your invoice; use your name and bike model as the reference.

Credit / debit card

Pay securely online via the link on your invoice — Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay and Google Pay accepted. Sorry, we don't accept American Express.

20% deposit (special orders)

For special orders — or if you'd like to lock in your bike now and settle the balance once it's ready for delivery — a 20% deposit secures it. You then pay the remainder via your invoice link before the bike ships. (For standard orders we'd rather just take one full payment.)

WorkRide — ride-to-work scheme

WorkRide is NZ's salary-sacrifice bike scheme: your employer provides the bike as a benefit, you repay it from your pre-tax salary over 12 months, and the tax saving works out at roughly 32–63% off the effective cost, depending on your income. At the end of the 12 months WorkRide offers you ownership through their gifting process.

What you need: your employer registered with WorkRide (free for them to join), and you paid through PAYE as an NZ tax resident.

Fees: a 7% scheme surcharge is added on top of the bike price for WorkRide orders. Tell us you're paying by WorkRide when you enquire so we add it to your final quote up front — no surprises.

The process:

  1. Enquire and tell us you're using WorkRide so we quote with the 7% included.
  2. Get your customer number from your employer, and send it to us along with a copy of your driver's licence.
  3. We submit the sale on WorkRide.
  4. Your employer completes their part, and you're issued a pickup number.
  5. Send us the pickup number. We enter it into the WorkRide portal, which releases the bike — then we build and deliver as normal.

The Wheel Deal — flexible workplace scheme

The Wheel Deal is the same salary-sacrifice idea with a more flexible, employer-run setup that suits smaller businesses and tight-knit teams. Savings of 30%+ depending on your tax bracket, repaid from pre-tax salary over 12 months.

What you need: a permanent (full- or part-time) role and your employer's sign-off on a 12-month salary-sacrifice agreement.

The process:

  1. Enquire and tell us you're using The Wheel Deal.
  2. Get your customer number from your employer and send it to us.
  3. We submit the sale; your employer completes their part and confirms approval.
  4. Once it's released to us, we build and deliver as normal, and you repay through pre-tax salary over 12 months.

Interest-free finance

Finance offers come and go through the year. Mention it on your enquiry or email sales@blackseal.co.nz and we'll tell you what's currently available.

Scheme savings figures come from the scheme operators and depend on your income — confirm the details with WorkRide / The Wheel Deal or your employer. Questions about any of this? Mention it in your bike enquiry or call us — we sort payment as part of the same friendly chat that confirms your build.
