Best unsung clothing - Yeti Bib Shorts

If there is one category of clothing from the Yeti Cycles range that I talk the most about, its actually our short liners & bib shorts. It amazes me how few people use padded shorts in the MTB world, yet they offer so much comfort and functionality... A nice set of bibs with pockets can totally transform your riding experiance. The 'chamois' has been around since the 40's and the road fraternity wouldn't be seen dead without them today. That's because they actually work in protecting amazingly well in precious private parts which, lets face it, is rather important for our reproductive abilities!     In our toughman sport of MTB, with a dress code of t-shirts and baggies, it seems uncool to add protection. But I'll...

DUST TO DUST: ADOLF SILVA

Nothing comes easy in the desert. The phrase “No dig, no ride” is an understatement in Southern Utah, where barren hills are the perfect blank canvas. With a little coaxing, they become a playground for world’s most talented athletes. What better place for Yeti’s newest heavy hitter, Adolf Silva to make his mark than the freeride mecca of Green River? Battling relentless winds and dust, the Spanish luminary, along with Yeti rider and producer Shawn Neer and filmmaker Craig Grant, dug lines, chased light, and threw down riding as dramatic as the landscape itself for Silva’s latest film, Dust to Dust. Welcome to Yeti Cycles, Loco.

Massive Appreciation - Mat Wright

We would like to express deep appreciation for the one and only Mat Wright. He has been our one key staff member for the past six years and integral to spreading the Yeti love throughout Aotearoa!  So many of you will know and love Mat from our demo days, events such as Crankworx or with enquiries about Yeti cycles or apparel.  Being a small business, Mat has worn many hats over the years from running the Yeti NZ demo programme, branding, warehousing, operations, ambassador work and handling warranties to the Yeti Development Team Manager.  Mat’s positivity and enthusiasm for bikes and for Yeti Cycles is infectious and it's been such a pleasure to work with him. We are stoked that he is continuing...

Newly Landed : SB135 and SRAM T-Type Transmissions

The first SB135 frames and T-Type drive chains have recently arrived at Black Seal and are available now from your favourite dealer.  The SB135 brings all the new Yeti tech to the smaller 27.5" wheel category. While the 29er wheels are certainly the most popular these days, some riders still much prefer the snappy and playful feel of smaller wheels.  Here is our first SB135 in the country, which is now on display at Ride Rotorua. You need to see this colour (Cherry) in the flesh to appreciate how nice it is. Its totally stunning !!! This is a Medium. All sizes and models available for special order now. We will just get them airfreighted over and it just takes...

3 Peaks Enduro 2023

The next race for the Yeti NZ Devo team was the 3 Peaks Enduro. It was a highlight for myself coming back to my hometown, and after organising this race for 10 years, I took the opportunity to race myself for the first time! We were also sponsors of the event, so we helped out here and there, plus Mat helped the new organisers get the BBQ area all setup and looking good.  Bradley's new SB160 was held up, so we offered him our demo 160E E-bike to race for the day for something a bit different. While not official, Bradley ended up getting 3rd overall on the day, just 17sec behind Charlie Murray and Lucas Cole. In U17, Cooper pulled off a 4th...
