Shimano BT-E8036 630Wh battery (Gen 1)
What it is
Shimano's 630Wh integrated downtube battery, 36V, first-generation (Gen 1) battery management. It runs the original Shimano EP8 (DU-EP800) and earlier Shimano STEPS motors.
Fits
Bikes with the original EP8 (DU-EP800) motor whose frame is built for the Shimano 630Wh integrated battery. The quickest check: the battery in your bike says BT-E8036.
| Bike | Years | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Yeti 160E (EP8, DU-EP800) | 2022, 2023 | Yeti: the 160E is designed for the BT-E8036 only |
| Transition Repeater (EP8) | 2022 on | Some later Repeaters moved to EP801, so check the label |
| Merida eONE-SIXTY (EP8) | 2021 | Size S frames used a smaller 504Wh battery |
Won't fit
Bikes with the newer EP801 or EP600 motor. They need the Gen 2 BT-EN806. A Yeti 160E from 2024 on needs the BT-EN806.
Check before you book: the label on your current battery says BT-E8036, or your motor says DU-EP800 (not EP801).
Covers, end caps and cables: some bikes need a cover, end cap or cable that's specific to the bike. Tell us your bike when you book and we'll make sure you get the right one, or email us first.
