Refund policy

RETURNS & REFUNDS

The short version: parts, clothing and accessories — 30 days to return them. Bikes — no returns. Here's the detail.

PARTS, CLOTHING & ACCESSORIES — 30 DAYS

Changed your mind, wrong size, doesn't match the kit? Return it within 30 days of purchase for a refund or a swap, as long as it's unused and in its original packaging. We'll need your receipt or proof of purchase.

Once your return arrives and we've checked it over, we'll email you and process your refund to your original payment method. You cover the return shipping, and original shipping costs aren't refundable. For anything valuable, use a tracked service — we can't refund what doesn't arrive.

BIKES — NO RETURNS

Every bike we sell is built to order by a qualified mechanic. Because of that, bikes can't be returned for change of mind. Instead of a returns model, we'd rather you get it right before you buy: demo a bike at our Rotorua HQ or at a Yeti Service Centre, and talk to us about sizing and spec — we'll happily help you choose.

If something's gone properly wrong in the first week — a clear sizing mistake or a major fault — talk to us. We'll work with you on a size swap or return, but because the bike's been built and prepped, we'd need to cover the build cost from any refund.

DEPOSITS & ORDER CANCELLATIONS

Bike orders are secured with a 20% deposit. If you cancel:

  • Before the build starts (bike in stock locally) — deposit refunded in full.
  • Build under way — we may need to keep some of the deposit to cover time spent building and un-building the bike.
  • Special order from Yeti USA — once the order's placed with Yeti, we may need to keep some or all of the deposit depending on how far along it is. Email us as early as possible.

NON-RETURNABLE ITEMS

Gift cards, and special-order parts we've brought in from the US specifically for you.

FAULTY OR DAMAGED GOODS

Different story entirely — this isn't a "return", it's a warranty or Consumer Guarantees Act matter, and none of the above limits your rights under the CGA. If something's faulty, bring it to a Yeti Service Centre or contact us and we'll sort it. On warranty jobs we cover the workshop labour — on every part of the bike, not just the Yeti bits.
