We stand behind every Yeti we sell. For life. No Fine Print. No BS.

FRAME LIFETIME WARRANTY

No Fine Print. No BS. All frames 2019 or newer, including the Switch Infinity link, are covered for life against damage due to manufacturing defects for the original purchaser. Paint and finish are covered for 1-year. We will repair or replace, at our discretion, any frame we deem defective. There are a few conditions: labour costs will only be covered when physically returning the bike to where it was purchased from. The bike must be registered on www.blackseal.nz/pages/my-yeti. Warranty does not cover damage due to ordinary wear and tear, neglect or intentional destruction. Lifetime Warranty applies to all frames (2019 and newer). Model year 2018 and older frames will be covered under our previous warranty (5-year or 2-year based on time of purchase). Simple as that. No fine print.

Nationwide Warranty Cover

Every new Yeti bike bought directly from Black Seal on or after 1 June 2026 comes with Nationwide Warranty Cover, free.

For 2 years from your purchase date, we cover the labour on any warranty repair, at any authorised Yeti Service Centre in the country. Yeti covers the parts under their standard warranty, as always — we pay the centre's labour on top. You don't see a bill for warranty work.

Because we sell direct and you can get serviced anywhere, your warranty labour is sorted at any of our centres nationwide — not just the shop you bought from.

The key facts

  • Free with every new Yeti bike bought from Black Seal on or after 1 June 2026.
  • Covers warranty labour at any authorised Yeti Service Centre nationwide.
  • Lasts 2 years from your date of purchase.
  • Parts are always covered by Yeti's standard warranty — this is the labour on top.
  • Not included on clearance, ex-demo or hot-deal bikes (those are sold as-is at the sharp price).
  • Without it — a second-hand bike, a bike bought before 1 June 2026, or once the 2 years are up — warranty parts are still covered by Yeti, but you pay the service centre's labour.



CRASH REPLACEMENT

If you crash, or do something that isn't a warranty case, we'll get you back on the trail at a reasonable replacement price. Same conditions as above.




APPAREL

Two-year warranty on Yeti Cycles apparel — covers defects in workmanship and materials, for the original owner. Doesn't cover crash damage, modifications, or normal wear. We'll repair, replace or refund at our discretion.




HOW TO CLAIM

Take your bike to a Yeti Service Centre near you. Or bring it to us in Rotorua. They (or we) diagnose, file the claim, and do the work.

Rather sort it yourself? You can lodge a claim directly with us if you'd prefer — just fill in the form below. We'd still recommend going through a Service Centre where you can, since they'll diagnose it, handle the paperwork and do the work in one go.

No Service Centre close by? Tell us in the form below — we'll point you to a shop we trust in your region. We don't freight customer bikes at our cost; customers either bring the bike to us, to a Service Centre, or to a recommended shop nearby.

We pay the labour. On every new bike we've sold direct from 1 June 2026, for 2 years. You don't see a bill for warranty work.

A quick note on bike registration
You don't need to register your bike with Yeti USA to claim warranty in New Zealand — your order with us is the record we use. A New Zealand bike registration system is coming soon as part of your account on this site.



THE FINE PRINT

Warranty doesn't cover normal wear and tear, or damage from abuse, neglect, improper assembly or maintenance, alteration, collision, crash or misuse. It doesn't cover the cost of freight to and from a service centre. To claim, the bike or frame must be presented to an authorised Yeti Service Centre with proof of purchase. Every frame has a useful product life that varies with its construction, materials, maintenance and the type of use it gets.

Yeti Cycles and Black Seal are not liable for any damage to you or others arising from riding, transporting or otherwise using your bike. If a frame breaks or malfunctions, our obligation is limited to repair or replacement under the terms of this warranty.

Making a warranty claim

We are super proud of our track record and will do everything we can to ensure customers get the best possible care and treatment. If you are having issues and you purchased your bike from a bike shop, please take your bike there. They will take care of everything for you.

If you purchased your bike directly from us, or are unable to take your bike back to where you purchased it from, lodge your claim through your My Yeti account.
