What it is

A check-over of your new Yeti in its first few weeks, included with every new bike we sell. It's a second set of eyes to confirm the build is spot on and that everything has settled in the way it should. Cables stretch, bolts settle and spokes bed in over the first few weeks of riding — that's completely normal, and this is the check that catches it.

It's a check, not a full service. We're not changing bearings, re-greasing anything or servicing suspension — it's a careful look over the build, a few adjustments, and a conversation about how the bike is riding for you.

What it covers

• A full check-over of the build, with all critical bolts checked to correct torque
• Shifting and braking checked and adjusted, cable tension re-set after the initial bedding-in
• Wheel and spoke tension checked, and trued if needed
• Suspension sag and pressures checked — and a chat about how it's feeling, with a few adjustments if you want them
• Tyre pressures and a general once-over
• A sit-down with your mechanic to make sure you're happy with everything on the bike

The details

• When — within the first 6 weeks from the day you collect your bike.
• Where — with whoever built it. If we built it here in Rotorua, you can take it to a Yeti Service Centre closer to home instead.
• One per bike — one check-over per new bike.
• Booking required — normal workshop availability applies, so get in touch to lock in a time.

What it isn't

• A full service — no bearing changes, re-greasing or suspension servicing. Those are normal workshop jobs, quoted separately.
• Replacement of worn or damaged parts (tyres, brake pads, chains and the like).
• Crash, impact or misuse damage.
• Modifications, upgrades or custom fitting work.
