New SLX Build Option on all YETI bikes

If you have been searching for a new bike recently you would have realised that the shortages are real. We have also had some pretty major impacts from Covid, with massive delays and big limitations on the number of bikes we are able to get hold of. Unfortunately for 2022 things are not looking worse, not better.

To help deal with the shortages we are now putting together some of our build kits from local suppliers. For now we are wearing the extra costs, but we just need to be honest that for 2022 models we won't be able to avoid the price going up across the board on all bikes.

This package offers a great build kit for a similar price to our C2 (SRAM GX) build, which we do have a few currently available still.

Fox suspension and Maxxis, the same as on all our other builds. Exact fork and tire variants depend on the model.

Sweet grips and stem from Burgtec

The Fox Transfer dropper post holds a SDG Bel Air saddle.

The wheelset we have spec'd is the Shimano XT wheel, keeping the shimano theme strong across the bike. You can also upgrade the wheelset for $400 to some custom wheels that Wheelworks have made for us using their Dial hubs, laced onto DT XM481 (or EX511 for SB150/SB165) rims. These are built with J Bend DT Competition spokes.

Other options on wheels include using your own, or upgrading the wheelset to Enve AM30 Carbon wheels for $2000.
