Buy your Yeti with Workride
We're an approved Workride partner. If your employer is signed up, you can pay for your bike out of your pre-tax salary — which means the bike costs you less than the sticker price, and nothing changes about the bike, the build or the warranty.
How much less depends on your tax rate. Here's what it looks like on a real number.
What would it actually cost you?

An estimate, not a quote. Your real cost depends on your exact pay and deductions, and Workride confirm the final figure when the order is raised.
Why our number is bigger than Workride's. Run the same bike through Workride's own estimator and it'll show you a better saving than we do. That's because theirs also counts the KiwiSaver contributions and student loan repayments you don't make while the deduction is running, and adds them to your saving. We leave them out. Your KiwiSaver money still ends up in your own retirement account, and a smaller loan deduction just leaves the debt sitting there to pay later — neither is money you've actually saved. What we show you is the tax you genuinely don't pay. If you do have KiwiSaver or a student loan, your take-home hit will be a bit softer than the number above.
How it works
-
1
Check your employer is in
Workride runs through your workplace, so your employer has to be signed up. Search for them at workride.co.nz. If they're not on there yet, ask them — it doesn't cost the business anything to offer it.
-
2
Pick your bike
Choose the Yeti you want. If you're between sizes or unsure on a build, email us — we've been sizing bikes for riders a long time and we'd rather get it right first go.
-
3
Send us two things
Your Workride number and a photo of your driver's licence. That's genuinely all we need to raise the order.
-
4
We do the rest
We raise the quote with Workride, your employer approves it and pays, then we build your bike and get it to you. Freight is free anywhere in New Zealand.
The fine print
- It runs for 12 months. The deductions come out of your pre-tax pay over a year. At the end Workride gift you the bike — no balloon payment, no fees.
- What you save is your tax. The bike comes out of your pay before tax, so your saving is your marginal tax rate — between roughly 26% and 39% on a bike at this price, depending on your income. That's why the calculator asks what you earn.
- Our surcharge. Workride charge us a fee on every sale. On full-price bikes we wear it. On bikes already discounted by more than 15% we add 5%, because there isn't enough margin left to absorb it twice.
- It can't be stacked. Workride can't be combined with other promotions or bundled offers.
- Your employer sets the limit. Workride itself has no cap, but some workplaces set their own. Worth checking before you fall in love with a T4.
