This past weekend, the 2016 Linger and Die MTB series kicked off in Alexandra. Greeted by amazing weather and solid track conditions, the Bike Otago crew took the Enduro course by storm on Sunday. Kashi, Jeremy, Ethan, Jake, Jayden, and Felix all competed in the race and put up some incredible times for the track. Leading the group with a blistering time of 22:51, Ethan placed second in the Senior Men's division, with Jake coming in just two minutes later for an 8th place finish. We've had a few very nice bike builds on the go this week! Early in the week our new mechanic Jeremy got stuck into building up our Niner WFO frame. Kitted out with a solid build including a Rockshox Pike RCT3 160mm up front, Stans Flow EX wheelset, topped off with the ever so popular XT M8000 1 x 11 drivetrain and brakes. We've just landed a pile of the latest Shimano Enduro shoes and boy they are nice! We've had staff riding these for a good few months now and we've got nothing bad to say about them! The M200 is Shimanos premiere enduro shoe. Stiff enough on the bike, grippy enough of the bike. It's a great all rounder!
