What it is

Yeti makes its own clear frame protection kit for each model. It's a sheet of thick, pre-cut clear film pieces shaped for the frame. It covers the areas that take the most hits, not the whole bike.

What it covers

• Downtube: rock strikes and stone chips thrown up by the front wheel
• Chain stay and seat stay: chain slap and heel rub
• The usual contact points: where cables rub at the head tube, and where the bike touches tailgates and racks

The film is thick enough to take real stone-chip and impact protection. We fit the finish that matches your frame, gloss or matte.

How it differs from RideWrap

The Yeti kit protects the high-wear zones, so it costs less than a full wrap. RideWrap Tailored Protection covers close to the whole frame, adds a self-healing top coat, and keeps every bit of paint as new. If you mainly want the downtube and stays looked after, the Yeti kit does the job. If you want the whole frame protected, go RideWrap.

Fitted before your bike leaves us

For a new bike, we fit the kit at Black Seal in Rotorua on the clean frame, before it's built up and shipped. You get it already protected and fitted properly.

Choose it on your quote. Tick the Yeti Frame Protection kit when you accept your quote, and the price for your model is shown there.

Already own a Yeti? You can buy the kits for most models from our Frame Protection range and fit them yourself.
