Bike Otago Women's-Only Ride Day! 24th May, Central Otago

Join the Bike Otago womens' fun riding group for an adventure to Alexandra with Scarlet Hagen on Sunday 24th May.

Everyone is welcome, but you must be female and the riding will be aimed at beginner level riders. Depending on numbers we may split into different groups for certain sections. We will have a driver (or two depending on numbers) help us while in Alexandra so we can shuttle you to the top of the hill a few times, ensuring we get the most fun possible.

We will pick you up from outside Bike Otago at 10am (we will be renting a 11 seater van and trailer). We should be on the bikes by 1pm and depending how people are feeling, we could be on the trails until 4-5pm. With time spent chatting, waiting and shuttling, we expect actual riding time to be approx. 2-3 hours... mostly downhill :)

After the ride we will head to the Monteith's bar/restaurant for food/drinks (we will all pay for our own here, but Monteith's have generously offered some vouchers to give away as prizes!)

Price for the trip is $45, payable in advance in the shop (officially this is for the ride only, because we can't charge for transport, otherwise we need special licenses). One van takes 10 people, so we will fill one van first. If there is enough demand we might try fill a second van. Let's just see how it goes! A back up day is planned for the following Sunday incase of bad weather.
